I came across this article on Jalopnik and I think it is a good discussion. You see, engine is what moves the car. It is the heart of car, what gives a car its character. Some people even fall in love and buy a car based on the engine alone (power, beauty, and sounds) even if it's not reliable. This list is great however, I have some honorary mention engines too or ones that should have made to the list as well. Here they are:

Discussion: What is a "real ///M car"?
Interesting article I came across on Opposite lock. Click here to go to the page where the article is.
The Myth of the "Real M Car"
SEXPAND
On two occasions in the past week I've had brow furrowing moments where someone made reference to a "real M car." The most recent being the comments on Chris Harris' comparison of the M6 GrandCoupe, E63, and Jaguar XFR-S where someone said "Finally maybe people will respect the M5/6 as real M cars." ...this raises a lot of questions, the most obvious being "what the hell does that even mean?"

More PARTS
I went to BMA Auto Parts in Glendale to pick up new pair of Lemförder front LCA (lower control arms), which is a direct replacement for BMW OEM front LCA. I highly recommend this shop if you live in LA area because they have very helpful staffs, good price and quick shipping for OEM replacement parts. I put my order last night and this morning at 10 they called to let me know that my items are ready for pick up. Their operational hour is from 8.30-5.00, Monday - Saturday.

Maintenance for The E39
So I've been hearing this click whenever I turn my steering wheel to the right and it gets to the point where it drives me nuts. I can't stand it anymore so I took everything apart to diagnose the clicking noise from the front right wheels. Upon a closer look and 2 hours later, I eliminated rotor, hub and calipers from making clicking noise since they all have even surface. When I manually turn the wheels then it became clear what cause the noise. Turned out that it was this fella, the lower control arm, that made the noise from the worn out bushings and torn out rubber boot. Well, it will be time to bust out my knuckles again this coming weekend!

My E39 540i
FINALLY! MY OWN BLOG WHERE I CAN PUT MY CAR IN IT !
This is the second one I ever owned. The first one that I had was a 2002 model and got rear ended in February 17th, 2013. The insurance company said that it was totaled because the chassis bent from the impact. It wasn't a good time.
